The terms, privacy and child-safety policies for TDog Taekwondo.
These terms apply to classes, programs, courses and private lessons provided by TDog Taekwondo. By booking with us, you agree to them.
Fees are payable as advised at booking. Casual classes are charged per session; programs and courses may be charged per term or per agreed schedule.
Payment in full is required before every class or session. We ask that fees are settled ahead of time so your place is confirmed. If we have not received confirmation of your payment before a class or session begins, you will not be eligible to take part in it. Once full payment is confirmed, your spot is secured.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as you can. The notice we require depends on the type of booking:
Giving us as much notice as possible helps us offer your place to someone else and keep things running smoothly.
Unless otherwise required by the Australian Consumer Law, fees paid are non-refundable except where we cancel a class or otherwise agree in writing. Where sufficient notice of cancellation is provided, we may, at our discretion, offer a credit towards a future class rather than a refund.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to instructor illness, venue availability, insufficient enrolments or other unforeseen circumstances. Where this occurs, affected participants will be offered a replacement session, credit or refund.
The health and safety of our athletes comes first, and we are committed to a safe, healthy and positive training environment. Taekwondo is a physical activity, so students train within their ability and follow their coach’s instructions at all times.
Any injury, new or ongoing, must be disclosed to the instructor before training. This lets the instructor in charge decide whether it is safe for the athlete to take part, or whether the injury is too severe to train on that day. In many cases the instructor can tailor the session’s activities so the athlete can still take part in a limited, safe capacity rather than sitting out entirely.
Participation in martial arts involves inherent physical risks. While TDog Taekwondo takes reasonable care to provide a safe training environment, participants accept these inherent risks. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
We are committed to an inclusive and respectful environment for everyone. Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, transphobic or otherwise non-inclusive language or behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and neither will threatening or rude conduct.
This applies to how everyone treats our instructors, other athletes and students, spectators and parents, and any venue staff. Where this standard is not met, the response may range from a timeout during the session to being asked to leave the class. We may decline or end a person’s participation where their conduct affects the safety or enjoyment of others.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for their child before classes begin and after classes finish, unless otherwise agreed.
Students should arrive shortly before their scheduled class and be collected promptly afterwards.
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings. TDog Taekwondo is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property brought to classes.

TDog Taekwondo respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
When you make an enquiry or enrol, we may collect your name, contact details, and, for students, a parent or guardian's details and relevant health or emergency information. We collect only what we need to provide our coaching services.
Health and emergency information is treated as sensitive information and is only collected where reasonably necessary to provide safe coaching.
Information submitted through our website is used only to respond to your enquiry or provide the services you request.
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where necessary to deliver our services, to meet legal or safety obligations, or with your consent.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations.
You can ask to access or correct your personal information, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing tdogtaekwondo@gmail.com.
We may take photographs or video during classes for promotional purposes. If you or your child’s image appears in material and you would prefer it not be used, please let us know and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request. Individual interviews or close-up promotional recordings will only be undertaken with specific permission.
TDog Taekwondo is committed to a safe, inclusive environment for all children and young people. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and take all concerns seriously.
This policy applies to all coaches, volunteers, contractors and anyone acting on behalf of TDog Taekwondo.
We work openly with schools, parents and guardians, and will never ask a child to keep secrets from their parents, teachers or guardians.
We communicate with children in an age-appropriate and transparent way. Wherever practical, communication with a child will include, or be directed through, a parent or guardian.
We encourage children and young people to speak up if they feel unsafe, and we will listen and respond respectfully to any concern they raise.
If you have a concern about the safety of a child in our program, contact us immediately at tdogtaekwondo@gmail.com. Serious concerns about a child's immediate safety should be reported to the relevant authorities or emergency services.
We take all concerns seriously and will respond promptly and appropriately. Where required by law, we will report concerns to the relevant authorities.
